The MiG-29 OVT is a development of the Russian built MiG-29 Fulcrum family of aircraft. Built as a test bed for the RD-133 thrust-vectoring engines, the MiG-29 OVT, also referred to as the Fulcrum-F has been flying for some years now. This technology demonstrator features new fly-by-wire but the most impressive part is the RD-133 engine that features a unique designed round turning nozzles which can provide thrust vector deflection in all direction. The aircraft can perform crazy aerobatic maneuvers and is one of the most maneuverable aircraft in the world today.
Hungarian pilot Zoltan ” Zoli” Veres is a one hell of a pilot. With more than 10,000 hours of flying in his logbook, this guy has flown more than 80 types of aircraft in his life, and still counting. From small aerobatic aircraft like the the Zlin-50 or Extra 300 to large Boeing airliners, this guy tried ‘em all. Named “One of the worlds best 12 pilots” in 1995, Zoli won quite a lot of medals at all kinds of aerobatic competitions and air shows. Here is a clip of him doing what he loves… throwing his aircraft all over the sky.
