The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 ( NATO codename Fishbed ) is still in service with almost 50 countries around the world more than half a century after its maiden flight. The MiG-21 LanceR is an upgraded version for the Romanian Air Force done by Elbit of Israel and Aerostar of Romania. This is a former clip of the Aviation Légère de l’Armée de Terre – ALAT. The ALAT is one of the many Corps that form the French Army officially known as the Armée de Terre. The ALAT consists mainly of Gazelle and Puma helicopters and was established on 22 November 1954 for observation, reconnaissance, assault and supply duties.

The English Electric Lightning was a British supersonic fighter aircraft of the Cold War era, remembered for its great speed and natural metal exterior. It is the only all-British Mach 2 fighter aircraft. English Electric was later incorporated into the British Aircraft Corporation, later marks being developed and produced as the BAC Lightning Renowned for its capabilities as an interceptor, RAF pilots described it as “being saddled to a skyrocket”. The largest passenger airliner in the world, the Airbus A380 is a double-deck, four-engine airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus. Don’t know what this guy says in the video, but the footage speaks for itself… crosswind landings with the giant A380.
The Blue Eagles is a British professional helicopter aerobatic team. Formed nearly 40 years ago, the Blue Eagles team is also famous for including the first British female military air display pilot: Sgt Julie Wiles. They fly four Gazelle light helicopters and one Westland Lynx. The Blue Eagles team is composed entirely of volunteers. The team continues to fly out of Middle Wallop and its repertoire includes formation flying, loops, rolls, breaks, and many other standard aerobatic maneuvers. The Antonov An-70 is a next-generation four-engine medium-distance transport aircraft, and the first large aircraft to be powered by propfan engines. First flown in 1994, this aircraft is currently awaiting orders. The Antonov An-70 was present at the 2003 MAKS ( Moscow Air Show ) where it managed to maze the crowd with a stunning air display. The United States Navy’s Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, popularly known as the Blue Angels, was formed in 1946 and is the world’s first officially sanctioned military aerial demonstration team, as well as the oldest currently flying aerobatics team. Check out this great Blue Angles video….
Check out this CH-53E Super Stallion as it comes to land. See anything weird? Well if you don’t see the nose gear extended that is because there was some kind of problem… fortunately the mechanics did a great job and managed to release the gear. Also, got to hand it to the pilot. He did a phenomenal job controlling the “Hurricane Maker” ( sailors call the Stallion that way because of the downward thrust ). Great team effort!
These pilots probably have the time of their lives in Chad. No restrictions, no nothing… just man and machine in a great playground. The Mirage F1 is a very rugged airplane suited to the conditions in Chad where it performs aerial reconnaissance missions. These missions are known as “leisure missions” since pilots have quite a lot of fun doing stuff normally forbidden. Check out some amazing low-level action over the desert of Chad.
