These are probably some of the best low passes ever. And, if it is about low level action, then it’s the French flying their Mirage F1s as crazy as humanly possible over the sands of Chad. Enjoy!

Coolest low level passes ever!

There have been quite a lot of stunts performed by skydivers over the years and this one has to be one of the coolest of them all. Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is already a sign of madness, but jumping out of a perfectly good airplane without a parachute and with just a pair of shorts on you is definitely beyond crazy… or so it would seem. My personal opinion? Coolest jump ever!

How to fly 3D

For those of you that have one of those cool little RC helicopters here is a “how to”… yeah, just go outside with your little toy and start practicing. Practice makes perfect and you’ll be able to impress your friends with some cool 3D stuff in no time :)

Skyfighters

Skyfighters is the English title given to the French movie “Les chevaliers du ciel”. The film was marketed as the French Top Gun and I don’t think it was a blockbuster mainly due to the ridiculous plot. The film was however very impressive under one aspect and that is the aerial footage, probably some of the best shots of the Dassault Mirage 2000 ever. If you didn’t see this film this is your chance to see the best 12 minutes of it: the planes. The flight sequences from the film were all filmed with actual planes and aerial photography, without the use of CGI. In order to capture the high-speed maneuvers, a specially designed camera was attached to a Mirage 2000 aircraft which then tailed the ’star planes’ as they flew, for only another Mirage 2000 could actually fly at speeds that matched the planes being filmed.

An Airbus A319 pilot was falling behind schedule this particular day. So he really really wanted to take off as soon as possible. Only he took off a bit too quickly… wonder what happened to the coffee of the passengers ha ha ha… Really cool takeoff.

The German Bo-105 was the first ever twin engined small helicopter in the world. And because of its highly advanced rotor, this little helicopter is capable of performing stunning aerobatic maneuvers. This, I believe, is an old promo video made by MBB, the company that produced the Bo-105. Anyway, this pilot is amazing, flying between all those trees. Demands respect.

This just shows what you can do when you take some skis, take a paraglider and let gravity do its work. I promised myself to try this crazy combination at least once before I die. Honestly, I’d like to see this stuff at the Winter Olympics. It really does add some spice to skiing.

This Eurocopter Ec-135 seems to be in quite a difficult situation. Leave it to the pilot to get this helicopter out of the snow. Lovely job, I might add.

Speed and noise No. 2

These high speed passes are really quite something. Check out this F-14 Tomcat as it goes between two ships at sonic speed. Vapor is cool, but the noise is even cooler.

The ultimate outdoor movie? Hell, yeah!!! Check out crazy man Jean Loic Albert, one of the Salomon Soul Flyers, as he puts on his wingsuit and goes diving after a glider. I really like the part where he catches the glider’s wing. Really outstanding performance from both riders: Jean Loic Albert in the wingsuit and Martin Kroke in the glider.
