This is one crazy archive video showing the crop dusters of Columbia back in the ’50s. Spraying cotton was quite a business back then, but what really stands out is the incredible maneuvers these pilots performed with their little Piper Cubs to spread the load evenly. No wonder they were called daredevil aerial crop dusters… check it out!
Very cool video filmed by the guys at Jones Air, Australia. Great images showing the dangers but also the thrills of aerial crop dusting. This job requires not only great skill but also a lot of attention, one of the main reasons this profession has such a high number of fatal accidents is the high number of power lines these pilots must avoid while trying to get the best coverage possible, and that is just during the day.
